Canesten

Hi all,

Can you take canesten when pregnant? I've googled it looks like it's ok. Really can't be bothered to speak to docs/midwife (feel like it's all I'm doing lately!!) as I know it's thrush and was hoping just to get a pessary from chemist. We are going away for anniversary at weekend so want to sort things out asap!!!

Hi- thanks! I have bitten the bullet and done it! Surely it is better for me and bubs that I am comfortable! Plus certainly better for OH as he's organised a romantic weekend away!!

Yeah it's fine although the chemist wouldn't sell me it wen they knew I was pg,so had to see gp. If I get it again I'm just gonna ting tri-age and get her to leave me a prescription at reception. Saves me money aswel x

I went thinking they may not sell it to me so I had a plan to say it was for someone else (but they sold it anyway!!!)
