Does anyone know? Or once youre overdue & they start talking sweeps/inductions do you have to go in??
Not that i dont think my LO will arrive this week or anything!

It will differ slightly from area to area hun, but round here you can still homebirth as long as you are within term, ie between 37 and 42 weeks. Once you reach 42 weeks though they will take no chances and you have to be constantly monitored which obviously means going into hospital

Between 37 and 42 weeks is good for homebirth. Its not a case of 40 weeks and then have to birth in hospital. You get to homebirth up to 42 weeks :)

You don't have to worry about induction before then, so don't fret overly. Very few babies arrive later than 42 weeks.

thanks guys, im starting to feel this whole pregnancy thing is a cruel joke & im not actually going to have a baby, ive just got fat! God only knows what a miserable bugger ill be if i go to 42 weeks

I've had 2 homebirths at 40+5. Like the others said, you usually have a window of 37 - 42 weeks. Good luck!
