CAN you determin sex of baby at 12 weeks?

ive googled this and have found conflicting answers
Some say yes some say no and now im confused. Im only wondering this because it just occured to me at my scan where i found out i was 13weeks and 4 days she said "he". Now was it a slip of the tongue? Can you really see the sex at this stage? Or not? xx

My sonographer always said 'he' but I'm having a girl. I think they say he or she sometimes rather than 'it' xxxx

Deffo more chance at 13+ dani, but after I peeked it drove me crazy as you get a clue but it's not enough to be sure enough to shop or get excited...

depends on the sonographer some will tell you some won't they refused to tell me till 20 weeks that I was having a boy , i couldn't even tell myself looking at the screen what orgaN was which lol

I would love another girl - DH would love a boy but would be equally as happy with a wee girl! I may go for a gender scan - only I live like 2 hrs away from the nearest babybond! Bloody Wales! xxxx Your almost half way! yay! xxx

wow yeah you must be pretty remote, but it's probably really nice, I didn't wanna pay the £140 for a 4d scan as it seemed a lot, can u wait till 20 weeks or too excited?

At my scan the lady doing the scan said 'she' but the consultant said 'he'. my mum keeps saying 'she'. but i keep saying 'he'. personally i think they they prefer he or she instead of it.

I cant wait to have a 4d scan, the babybond centre is a 5min walk from where i am lol. and i thought its was £79 including a £30 diposit for the gender scan.

I paid £95 for my 4d scan which included the DVD and two photos but that is a company based around here so not much good to you girls sorry my scan lasted 20 mins and was fantastic.

You might be able to tell the sex, but it wont be very accurate x

Daniph can't they scan you any earlier??? Swansea is the closest I found for private scans!! X

i was considering paying for a 4d scan with babybond - i even got as far as filling in my details to book, but then i changed my mind lol im rather indesisive at the moment i thought well by the time i go ill only have 4weeks to wait x Ill probably change my mind again though lol
its driving me mad thinking why i didnt ask at the time! xx

I wasn't going to at 15 weeks but changed my mind again at 21 weeks i have enough left over this month on the pay and hated my two NHs scans, not very clear, it depends on the person I guess.

im thinking maybe having a 4d scan at a later date so that the images will be better - this will be my last baby so might aswell go for it! lol x
