can u ovulate without a period?

Just wondered if u can ovulate without having a period? I have missed mine and got bfn so wondered if I get ovation pains could I still be ovulating?

Hiya. It is possible to ovulate without having a period YES. It is also possible to have a period without ovulating. Are your cycles regular ? is this the 1st time you have missed a period ? x

My cycles are not regular but I had been on Implanon for three years had it removed and had two and a half cycles 26 days (half comes from ov pain when I was expecting it and no period!) before ttc. I know its prob a side effect of having implant out but just wondered whether I might ov 12 days from when period was due or whether I now won't ov til af arrives whenever that is. (will keep testing but so far bfn)
