I'm having pain, especially when my left side is pressed. Can I call and get my scan brought forward, it's a week tomorrow. I just have so much anxiety now. I've just been to the EPU and they couldn't scan me and said they don't really want to as it doesn't seem anything sinister. I just can't help but worry. Has anyone asked for their scan to be brought forward? xx

Sorry to hear you are having more pains. It can't do any harm to give them a call to ask if it's possible to move it forward, the worst they can say is no. It's more than likely nothing to worry about though and the fact the epu aren't concerned is a good sign.

As Joeypops said, you can always call to ask - you're not losing anything by doing that and the worst they can do is say no.

How far along are you? Some forms of pain in the first trimester are perfectly normal - cramps and such. Your uterus is beginning to stretch slowly to allow room for the baby to grow. Period like pains are very normal too. My stomach felt sensitive in some areas when I pressed on it a week ago. Unless you are having any bleeding accompanying the pain, I really honestly would not worry hun. I feel you are stressing yourself too much right now. If you are bleeding or start to bleed then you definitely need to go to EPU. But if there's no bleeding, I would not stress at all.

I know it's easier said than done because that's your little baby and you just want them to be safe, but trust me, pain in the first trimester is common with most women! Xx

Thank you lovelies, I'm 11+2.

It's just really stressing me out as I have loads of pressure and I keep thinking I need a wee and nothing comes out. UTI been ruled out, my sample was clear xx

Sorry you're worried, I'm only 8weeks but had something similar when I stood up at work today. A terrible pain and I had to stand still for a few minutes.

As others said you can ask but I think they'd just do a reassurance scan rather than bring it forward as I think baby needs to be 12weeks for them to do certain measurements etc x

Aww hope your ok. The wait is so bad isn't it?! You can only ask. I think it's such a long wait for us mums to be.

My scan is tomorrow morning and it feels like I've been waiting years for this day to come. I'm very anxious too, really want everything to be ok xx
