Hi 2 red rings is uaually general hardware problems microsoft quote about £65 to fix it

If it goes to 3 red light microsoft have extended the guarantees to 3 years as it is a known problem by microsoft and they will fix it for free (mine has just gone AGAIN)

If it does go to 3 red lights let us know and i will tell you how to get it repaired its easy and totaly free (it is done by microsoft in germany)

what he said! My younger brother's went for the second time a few weeks ago he's just got it back. With a new 3 year warantee.lol

I would never buy an xbox. My brother had one and his one did the red ring of death on him. When they do it once you know it'll happen not long after again so they are useless. My brother got his repaired and traded it in and got a ps3. xbox's are a rip off! They charge an extra £50 to get the adapter to go online and then you have to pay for playing online as well! PS3 may cost more for the actual console (even though there are great deals at the moment) but once you've got it you don't really have to buy anything else.

My Dh just bought one of the new 60gig xbox 360
he said this is the ring of death what has happend to your x box and he told me
to tell you to send it back to microsoft they fix it for you he said if you send it
to the shop where you bought it they will only tell you its a microsoft problem
When you get a replacement make sure you have it laid flat DONT stand it up
and make sure its well ventalated and it open to air and watch the dust
