can anyone help me please, need advice.##UPDATE##

goodness, please excuse my typos, i'm posting from my phone and predictive text hasn't been kind, and now it won't let me edit!

I put something like 'mugs doctor' which was supposed to be 'other doctor' and no doubt millions of other ridiculous errors

Ahh hun, for you!

It's always going to be a worrying time for you and until you know what it is you won't be able to relax so it's good you got an appointment so quick.

I had a small pea sized lump which was painless about 5 years ago now when i was still at university. I too was very worried and i got sent for a biopsy also. As i was still in full time education at the time my mum's work private health plan covered me so i went private and had an appointment pretty much straight away otherwise NHS was a massive wait!

When i went, the consultant gave me a feel to check it out then he did the biopsy which involved putting a needle into the lump and then kinda pushing the sucker bit of the needle in and out a bit i guess to gather cells/fluid. I must admit this hurt a little, but really not much and only had slight bruising which i wouldn't think would stop you breastfeeding but i can't say for sure, ask when you go to the clinic.

I had to wait i think a day for my results then they let me know it wasn't cancerous but i had to go back for another appointment. I don't know exactly what it was but after speaking to others i'm wondering if they still had some concerns over it as they said to me in the follow up consultation that it wasn't cancerous but they would take the lump out for me or i could leave it and have regular checks on it. I had it removed for piece of mind mostly. I have a small scar now kinda on the underwired bra line.

It was a worrying time but these things need to get checked and in most cases are harmless outcomes. PM me if you want a chat!
