Help im confused.

i dont no what carrier to get? there are soooo many to choose from, so far i have looked in to mei tie and pouch, but im sure there are loads more???

i need one for Harley so needs to be sutible for 10week old want to use it till about 9months, in future want to use it as hip carrier??

can any one recomend??

iv all ready asked kina 1001 questions lol

Ive got a hauck pooh one that we have never used-suitable from birth. U can have it if u want? Im too scared of them, incase they ever snapped :rotfl: Stupid i know but that's me!

Like I said in PM - MTs are great once you get used to tying them, but a pouch is definately good to start with :) Plus is ideal for a quick hip carry :D

Kina, are the only ways of using a pouch... hip carrier tummy to tummy and kanagroo?? is there a way of Harley being upright but facing me?

think im going to get a cheap pouch, if i get on with it, il spend more and get a mt..

Yeah I used to have Ella tummy to me but upright :) I never had her in a cradle hold in her pouch. Basically you need to hold the pouch open with one hand and with the other lower Harley into it feet first so his leggies are like frog legs. I used to worry about Ella being comfy but she was really really comfortable and would often immediately soothe to sleep :)

I have a sleepytoes pouch, Seren loves the buddha position, where she is sitting facing out and I really like it too as when she gets sleepy I can just adjust her so she goes into the cradle position.

Sleepytoes are good for instructions on how to position baby http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/sleepytoes/s ... ctions.htm

I got the pink stripey one http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/sleepytoes/s ... ctions.htm

I have also got a babyhawk MT on its way (ordered it a bit ago but its in the US so have to wait a couple of weeks) and am looking forward to having it as they look so comfy.

*Dribbing* - what fabric did you choose?

camoflague one side for OH and the hula girls on white for the reverse and chocolate straps. it took me ages to decide lol.

I never used one but would if I had another baby, they have some good ones in the back on M&B magazine

Kina - did you used to be called something else?? (sorry to go off subject)

Kina.. the mt you have, the one you posted a pic of when you were in mother care, is it the same style as this one http://www.babyhawk.com/index.php

as this one seems to come up high over the boys neck were as ella didnt look so covered up?

whats the differencr between the pouch you use kina and the one beanie uses? as the beanie uses is a bit cheaper?

The one Kina had in mothercare is a nuzzli, made by petchy.

Not sure what the difference is between mine and Kina's pouch slings...fat lot of good I am today

Is it that the one that kina has is a differnt make from beanies. I have been looking at these and just happened to see the coorie pouch first and really liked the material for one but it looks the same as the sleepytoes one beanie has.

Beanie, did you see the australia post, Im intrigued as to where in Ayrshire you know?

Cumnock, thats where my mums family are from. Not sure about my dad's as we don't have any contact with them, his dad moved down from Scotland, he was a Hearts supporter if that is any clue??

Well, Sorry for chipping in here, but if he was a Hearts fan, he'll be from Edinburgh and the Lothians, Borders and Fife, generally!
DH is a Hearts fan too..... we do have quite a few things in common Beanie!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Emilia xx

Feenix I have a pink one like that :D

Dionne the only difference between the two pouches is the maker, plus I think Beanies is cotton and mine is fleece :)

And my Mei Tai was made by Petchy and is a nuzzli www.nuzzli.co.uk whereas that Mei Tai is a Babyhawk. Babyhawk ones are long bodied ones, my one is a shorter body one but has a weather hood taht can be pulled up and buttoned in place (in the pic it's down).

Yup, sorry, it was Rosieroo. I did put a bit in my sig about the change but then took it off after a few days so I could put my tickers on :D

Nice sling feenix. I know what you mean about the 3 year old, Jess is 2 and is 2 stone and I dont fancy putting her in a sling.
