hi everyone!

Sorry if this has already been brought up before but has anyone bought a bump band? If so, are they worth it and would you recommend one? xx

I have one that I got of ebay, it has been ace with my uniform trousers, and I did wear it a bit with my other jeans before I could no longer wear them comfortabley, I have had to resort to maternity trousers now though, the only reason I get away with my uniform is cos the tunic is longish :flower:

I got a mothercare one cos I got really bad stitch like pains when I walked far. It is really good although I think I get a bit more of a tender back (could just be my posture) as the weight is distributed more evenly. Fits snuggly tho and I would reccommend one!

I bought a set of 3 from New Look Maternity for about £10 (Splashed out as I had a voucher after Christmas!) I must say, they make my bump look a lot more defined. Very comfy as well! X

Sorry to sound thick, but what are they for?

I'm not 100% sure but they help if you've short tops - eg, if you've a black band and wear a black top that rides up over your bump, your tummy is still covered!

I suppose they will also help with back ache i'd have thought?

X

I just ordered 2 because i get the stitch pains all the time and also i like the thought of it being all neat and supported in one :)

The new look ones are excellent and when you have had your baby you can use them to cover your tummy up when breast feeding. You can wear a regular top with one underneath and lift your top without exposing your midriff! I have one of the very ones on now :D

I just find them a lot more comfortable than just wearing a top - although I will be honest, if i'd not been given a voucher for New Look at Christmas I PROBABLY wouldn't have bothered with them...

Just found another use for them now thanks to Mervs Mum - I intend to BF so it's sort of a two in one deal! lol! Hope little Sid is settling in ok btw! :-)

hi all,

Hi. The bump bands are so you can keep your trouser buttons and zip open and still hold them up/create a smooth profile with the bump band.

My trousers still fit me, just can't do up the zip and button. The bump bands are great as you can save a lot of money on maternity trousers! Hopefully by the time my trousers don't get up my thighs anymore it will be sunny so summer dresses and skirts will do the job!

Hope that helps x

I brought the new look ones as someone recommended i get one as i get pains in my tummy when walking up the school, and Tbh i find them abit annoying, mine keep dropping from the top or rolling up from the bottom and the tag scratches my back :( But when you first put them on they seem like a really snugg fit.
I found the knickers with the stretchy bump bit ALOT better. But this is my preferance. x
