Hi ladies

I've had some brownish discharge today. I'm 7 weeks along

Anyone else had this ?

Should I be worried?

Thanks

I'm 15 weeks now and had brown spotting for about 2 weeks from 6 weeks... it's fine unless you have pain and the blood turns bright red. xx

They say brown isn't to be worried about and it's old and probably just making its way out. however if you are worried contact your midwife. I'm sure if it continues they will check you over

Hi Emma, how are you feeling? When I went to have my scan and said I had brown discharge (have had it even before I realised I was pregnant and thought the period was about to start), they told me to not worry if the discharge is brown. It's some sort of old blood. One must get concerned if it turns bright red. But you know better how you feel and what you experience, so just as Haylian said- call your mw if you are concerned. How is your nausea, is it easing off a bit? X

Hi HappyS1. I've felt better when I've been at work it must just be because I'm so busy I'm distracted. I've been feeling really bad come the evenings though. It's not improving really. I had a bit of brownish discharge with my first pregnancy but it was a bit earlier in when my period would be due. It's just worrying isn't it. I've also got a lot of stress going on at the moment which isn't going to help matters. How are you doing? X

Hi Emma, I am a bit nervous as I only get nauseous now but don't vomit. I don't know whether it's OK at this stage or not? Still not eating very well though. I was brave enough this morning to check my weight (first time during pregnancy) and discovered that I've lost 3kg during these 2months. You don't want to know my weight :) it wasn't much before I've lost these 3kg :) how about you? Have you been checking your weight? I had a nap today and guess what - I saw a dream if being in a restaurant and eating lots of nice foods :) In fact I was soooo hungry! Oh dear :) when I feel better I will probably eat lots to make up! Haha. Hope you are doing well! As for worrying - don't think of your worries, think of your little bean and your little one! They need you and your positive emotions! Take care, hope you are OK today xx

Hi Happy. It's good that the vomiting has stopped. I've not had vomiting just nausea. Maybe the dream is a sign you will soon be enjoying food. I've weighed myself the other day but stayed the same probably because beige foods aren't the healthiest. I've had a very mild tummy ache almost like a period pain today but milder coming and going. I've just been trying to tell myself it's my uterus stretching or it couldn't even be because I'm struggling to go to the toilet a bit atm. Sorry for tmi. Pregnancy is such a worry isn't it. So glad it's Friday

Hi girls. I'm 5 +6 today. I had some bren spotting last week when I wiped which disappeared but I've just had a bit today. I've had mild cramps the whole time, some sharper than others. Why is everything such a worry? No two women ever gave the same thing and I dint have a midwife to talk too...

Hi Emma, guess what, tonight IT happened again. I thought it was calming down a bit but no way. I just hope the weekend will be OK and I won't feel too sick. I get cramps like pains too now and then. And sorry as well, but do struggle going to the loo too. Ahhh well. Pregnancy is a worry but as I have never given birth,I do wonder whether there will be less worrying say in 2 trimester when the sickness will hopefully be gone and the baby will start kicking. Emma, what do you think about it? How did it work for you in your previous pregnancy? Did you feel better/more reassured in 2, 3 trimester?

Hi BecaM, congrats on your pregnancy and welcome! I have been having period like mild and moderate pains since veeery early on, probably 4 weeks. I have had brown discharge too. I had a scan as was worried and scan was fine. It's hard to stay calm and not worry but I guess we just need to try to relax and take it day by day really. Resting helps a lot I find! My understanding is that it's your first baby too?

I had implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy which lasted for about two weeks. I also had strong pains and fresh bleeding which was scary but I had early scans and everything was fine. My dd is now 3. It is worrying though

HappyS1 I remember worrying throughout my first pregnancy but definitely more so in the first trimester. I remember thinking I would feel happy after my scans which I did but after a few days you feel little worries creeping back in. However I think I worried more in because I didn't feel my dd move until 26 weeks because I had an anterior placenta. It also meant I didn't feel her move much. I'm really hoping I don't have an anterior placenta this time and can enjoy lots more reassuring baby kicks

Hi Emma and thanks a lot for sharing your experience. Wow, I knew nothing about anterior placenta before!

Yesterday was such a difficult day for me as I felt absolutely sick and was sick about 5 times a day. I felt nauseous and unsettled. I also had little streaks of blood in my sick but I am sure it was because when being sick my throat was irritated as it was hurting so much afterwards. Ohhhhh, it's nott fun at all...Couldn't keep any food down yesterday. Am feeling a bit better today though, so it looks like it comes and goes, almost goes through stages for me. I am just doing my best to cope with it. Have eaten and drunk fluids today.

How are you doing and feeling??? Has your weekend been OK?x

Hi Happy sorry to hear you haven't been feeling great this weekend. Have you tried ginger? As in fresh ginger in boiled water?

Fortunately I've been feeling a it better today. I've not felt sick all day. Hopefully it lasts. Had a bit of a quieter day today too which is nice.

Hi Emma, thanks for asking! I had a severe all day sickness, couldn't keep anything in for 2days and ended up not being able to even walk properly, I was shaking as well and feeling really cold. Went to A&E. They put me on a drip for 2days. I feel better now - can eat and drink finally!

I remember reading here that someone was saying to not go to A&E unless you are bleeding heavily. I would say - if you cannot keep anything down, food or drink for a day or so- do not be shy-go straight to A&E. They will take care of you and sort you out. I am telling this from my personal experience. It's important to stay hydrated!

How have you been Emma? How are you feeling? Xx

Sorry to hear you have been so poorly. I’ve still got constant nausea and I’m so exhausted atm but keeping food down. I was sick on Friday morning but that’s the first time I’ve actually vomited. I’ve become the fussiest eater so many things I just don’t want to eat. Seeing mw tomorrow for my booking appointment which is exciting x

Hi Emma! Good luck with your booking appt today! So exciting! :)
It's good you are managing to keep food down. It's hard isn't it not to be able to eat all the things you enjoyed before. Xx

Hi Emma, How did your first appt go? I haven't had mine yet! xx

It was good. Mw seems really nice. Took about an hour and a half but discussing lots of things from my first labour, bloods etc. You should hear from your mw soon. Have they not been in touch?

Sounds great! I will have mine tomorrow :) I am a bit nervous xx

You’ll be fine. It’s exciting. Makes things seem a bit more real x
