Anyone else have this? Just started today. I dont think its anything to be too concerned about but just wondered if anyone else had experienced it

It could just be implantation, i have had this in my other pregnancies but if your worried i would phone the Dr or NHS Direct for some advice xx

I am sure it is nothing to worry about but I would contact your GP or Midwife.

All the best

If its brown, then it will be old blood, like cixes said its probably left over from implantaion. But give your midwife a call if your worried

I've had it last week and this week - lasted only a couple of hours each time and minimal - feel fine now. My friend when she was pregnant also had it. It makes sense to me that we might bleed a little when you think what's going on inside with all the stretching and growing etc..

Hi,

i had a brown discharge on tuesday. it was like old blood but there was a bit of dark red on it. I went straight to my EPU as I panicked and they checked me. My cervix was closed but still they are going to do an scan on Monday to see everything is ok.

If you get worried go to your EPU and they will offer you an scan.

Brown blood = old blood, theres no need to worry at all. If it is bright red, contact your doctor or midwife.

thanks ladies!
contacted my midwife who happy its nothing to worry about but to get in touch with her if any pain/bleeding occurs
:)

i have got this too and have just posted the same thing in tri 2!!! nobody had replied yet so thought i would gatecrash tri 1. (Thank god for this post! I am 16 weeks next week)

If it get worse or goes red with pain then I will worry and phone midwife. But I had this a few weeks ago and didn't last long so hopefully nothing to worry about.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease!

Hi Indie, I had that about 6/7 weeks and called NHS24 in a panic as I was feeling rotten already through severe sickness and am a first timer which doesn't help. Was told it was likely implantation bleeding, that 3% of women experience some bleeding. They only worry if it's new (bright red) blood. Probably best to mention to your midwife though.:)
