My little one is 4 months old and starting to get distracted during daytime feeds. She is usually ok when it's just us at home, but when we're out and about or if daddy is at home she tends to pull off and look around her quite a lot. I don't really mind, but I gather it can get worse and encourage night feeding when all is calm and I'm keen to avoid that if I can! I've seen breastfeeding necklaces and wonder if they're worth a try or if they're just a gimmick. Has anyone used one?

I used one from Medea with my first lo. She wasn't gaining weight fast enough through bf and thought it was a supply issue. So I used the necklace to try and keep production going and make sure she was getting at least a certain amount. Personally, I wish I had just stuck with bf without the necklace. She refused to bf without it, because it delivered the milk so much easier than just the boob alone. In the end, I gave up after two weeks with it and we switched to formula feeding at around 8 weeks because we were both frustrated and tired.

I heard of some people who had success with the necklaces, but I wasn't one of them.

I'm not sure how a necklace could improve supply? I think we're talking about different things... I'm talking about necklaces designed to occupy a distracted baby while feeding so that they concentrate more on feeding and to keep their busy fingers occupied.

I used a necklace with my daughter. She loved it. For the money they cost it's worth a go Hun xxx
