breast feeding and pill

can someone tell me what the effects of the contraceptive pill can be on your milk supply?

I am planning to wean him next month wehn we go on holiday and while i intend to cut down feeds in the next few weeks unfortunatly there will still be a bit of cold turkey in there. I thought i read somewhere that the pill can decrease your milk supply so it woul probably be a good time to start taking it, but can't remeber wheere i read/ heard that.

IIRC..you cant use the normal combined pill when breastfeeding , because the hormones pass into the milk supply, but you can use the progesterone-only.
