Break from bf?

Well I've been given antibiotics for mastitis and some cream for my nipple. If they don't work then I'll get treated for chronic thrush. So fingers crossed!

I fed him today with the sore boob ad it was ok, quite stingy but ok. I cant feed him every 3 hours tho, that would kill me at the minute. So he's getting a bit of boob, expressed milk and formula! Can't wait til this goes so I can build it up again

Well done fork hanging in there PP, sounds like youve been having a right rough time - glad docs have given you stuff to fire at it tho, fingers crossed, your'll be feeling like a new women by the weekend X

Thanks ladies I have to admit I'm slightly tempted to just give formula but I think I would regret it since it was going so well.

It could also make the mastitis much worse. As hard and horrible as it is, you need your milk to flow to clear the infection.

That's true. But I think my supply has slightly went down so I could slowly phase it out but I'm not going to until I'm 100% sure.
