When do they start and what do they feel like?

My bump has been rock hard today and I keep getting stitch like pains at the top around my lower ribs....it's really uncomfortable and thought it was stitch but I haven't exactly been running up and down the stairs today.

OH thought it might be BH but as I've never felt them before I couldn't say if it's them or stretching xxxxxxxx

I'm not completely sure either as this is my first pregnancy, but I've felt like I've possibly had BH in past few weeks.
I get like an uncomfortable tight feeling around my bump, which tends to last about 5-10 seconds then releases. And my bump feels hard too

Everyones diff hun as u get BH as soon as u get pregnant, just depends on ur body as to when u start feeling them. I was over 20 weeks when they started.
They last a few seconds and ur bump goes rock hard. Shouldnt be painful but might feel tight or uncomfortable.

I apparently had one today when the midwife was examining my bump... I didn't even know I was having them!

Ive just posted a question about this in tri 3. thats what mine kinda feels like - and i figured it was BH, been getting them for a few weeks on and off. some people never feel them, but i read somewhere they can start as early as 6 weeks.

they can start from as early as 6 weeks



your bump goes very hard and the lower of your belly can feel like its cramping up, they wont get stronger (unless you have a water infection) and they are very iregular (again unless you have a water infection) - thats what happened with me

also dont let anyone tell you they arent painfulas plenty of people go to hospital thinking they are inlabour but its just very bad BH, im oth my pregnancies this happened to me
