I'm assuming it can't be just my OH who turns the name game into a joke? Every time I say a name I like OH will play 'word association', for example I told him I liked Sebastion to which he replied Vettel!

So I've finally managed to get my OH to take naming seriously. We have agreed on a few names but one in particular is causing a bit of disruption. We both quite like Max. We have both agreed that we should have the longer version of Max and then shorten it - we just can't agree on the longer version of Max! What do you guys think?

Maximillian?

I love the name Max, and I personally prefer Maxwell for the long version! My hubby can't seem to think of any other names than those of footballers! X

That's what I've been saying but OH insists that if we have a 'Max' then he'll be a Maximillian! This is also the same guy who tried to suggest Gandalf which I very quickly shot down! Luckily we have a few more names like Alexander, Harvey and Leighton

I realise there's quite a mix in there but I kinda want to get a feel for what other people would be thinking if we called our son any of these!

I really like Tobias. It was top of my list but can't use it now

Hopefully you'll agree on a name soon. I've finally come to a decision on my boys name and it feels good.

Tobias is actually bottom of my list but oh suggested so I put it on there!

My OH has already begun with suggesting ridiculous names. His favourites are Dante and Rafael...no chance!

We also love Max but I must admit that I'm not keen on Maxwell or Maximillian so we have already ruled that name out which is a shame. I would choose Maxwell out of the two.

I love Alexander. Before I met my husband that was always the name I'd 'chosen' for my future son. Until I met my hubby, who is called Alexander

I loved Harvey as a name but it's my OHs best friends surname so we can't use it.

Freckle is likely to be Toby. Don't like tobias so just toby
