Morning ladies

I'm breastfeeding and hve recently started expressing so that baby can spend a few hours at granmas here and there. I've also got some ready made formula so that if I haven't expressed enough that can be used to.

Anyway my question is do bottles have to be cleaned and sterilised every single feed?

Eg if baby goes to granmas with a load of breast milk and some formula say for 6 hours, she will want fed 3 times do I need to send 3 clean bottles to? Or after one feed can granma put some more breast milk into the same bottle?

In a couple of weeks time she is staying over night at granmas while we are at a wedding so I'd have to send 14houra worth of feed so 7 clean bottles?

Yep, bottles have to sterilised before every single feed. If your baby is gonna be going to grandma's a lot, I recommend getting grandma a cold water steriliser so she can sterilise bottles at hers as needed.

Yup, clean and sterilised bottle for each feed. Like Kumber says, if you're looking to make this a regular thing its would be an idea to get a steraliser for their house. I have a cheap microwave steraliser at my mums so I only take one bottle with me.

Thank you both. Seems like such a faff but I understand why, think I will get a microwave steamer, thanks again
