Well all went well. Midwife was really nice and the appointment seemed to be done in conjection with a health worker.
I was asked all health related questions, height, weight, family health history including any family history of repeat mc, genetic defects, birth defects, still births and cot deaths (thankfully none of the above).
Filled in my pregnancy notes. Filled in my hospital referral. Filled in my scan referral including request for nuchal scan and bloods. Said that I would get a letter from the hospital for my scan appointment.
Took my blood pressure. Didn't do wee or bloods. Got a sample pot for wee at my next appointment and was told that bloods would be done at my next appointment. My next appointment is in three weeks time when I'll be 11 weeks.
Didn't discuss antenatal classes or anything.
Went away with my notes, got told to look after them. Me and the notes got soaked as soon as I walked out of the surgery by a sudden thunder and hail storm, was not impressed. Got a lot of leaflets to look through too.
I totally forgot to ask about prescription charges and dentists. I got told my the doc that the Midwife fills in a form and a card gets sent to you in stating that you are pregnant and exempt from charges whilst pregnant. Does anyone know more about this?
