I had my booking in appointment last week and I was just reading through my notes and I see the midwife has recorded the wrong weight for me!

She asked me how much I weigh and I told her 12 stone 11 but she has written 12 stone. I did think it strange that she didn't weigh me. But I told her I had been going to slimming world so obviously I know how much I weigh.

I did say to her that I was slightly overweight but she was insistent that I was within the normal BMI. Now I know why!! It is going to look like I have put on a lot of weight next time then isn't it?!

She said I was considered low risk at this stage which is good.

I have become all paranoid about the blood tests now though. And the HIV one gives me the shivers. (This is completely irrational of me). She said I could ring the surgery on Thursday to find out the test results if I was worried about them, otherwise they just discuss them at the next appointment.

I was told my bmi was over by 2 but wasn't a big deal as it was only 2 and that was me at 10 and a half stone. Maybe she just trusted that you know your own weight but she should have recorded the correct one. Just mention it to midwife at next appointment and if it's the same midwife just point out to her that she didn't put down the correct weight. Don't worry about it just now though.xx

my midwife doesnt weigh after the booking appointment so suddent worry !! i am at slimming world too and have my booking in appointment on 1/4/11 has your midwife said u can stay on the plan ? xx:wave:

Yes, she said I could carry on going as it is essentially healthy eating and that is what I should be doing.
