After speaking to ladies on another site, i emailed a specialist in london and got a reply within an hour from the Dr himself, was a lovely email explaining what he thought of my case. So i am booked in for a consultation and scan on 28th June :)

Now i just have to navigate my way to london and find the place  never been to london before and no idea how to get to the place  hope this country bumpkin dosnt get lost in the city

xx

Wowzers that's a treck - would u be better flying down and saying somewhere close by? Hope the doc can help you Hun  xx

That's fantastic hun, really pleased you got such a quick reply! :) x x

I looked at flight but think a train is best, 9 hour round trip from glasgow as thats where i will be at the time. flights rather pricy and i think train is closer to get to where he is, harley st i believe.

Thanks MissJ, finding its a totally different experience dealing with private care, when i phoned for appointment the secretary was like, "Oh im sorry i dont have an available appoitment till next wed"...next wed:shock: i guess shes not heard of NHS waiting lists:shock:

Yay hun thats great news, and wow fab early appt I really hope that all goes well for you xxx keep us updated xxx

Ohhh exciting news hun, I really hope they give you the time and care that you need, they sound really friendly.

London can be a little scary find out what tube station is closest to the clinic and go from there xx

ohhh nurse im sooooo pleased for you!!
really hope he has a positive outcome for you x x

would you have to have all ur treatments + appointments in london?? that could be a bit tricky if lots of appointments?! sorry to put negative side to it - really hope this is the best outcome to a great health baby x x

You need any London travel tips, you just PM me hun :)

Lxx

Great news nurse, hope the appointment goes really well :)

What did he think about your circumstances in the email?

Drummerswife, he sees alot of patients who are out of london, infact out of the country often so he can work round appoitments that way.

Lander, i REALLY need tips on how to get around london, i shall PM you when i know where i am arriving and where i need to get too :) think it will be euston station and need to get to harley street. no idea how close they are.

Louise, he said it sounds though i may have some scarring from previous surgery (when i was younger and recent surgery) but obviously we need to wait and see what scan says, he said he has great success treating these types of problems with a simple hysteroscopy (although rather pricey) he is the top in the UK so in the best hands :) He is the only Dr in the UK that can diagnose using 3D ultrasound. So even if i get the all clear then i will know i am in perfect working order without any invasive tests that could take MONTHS of waiting lists to get done on the NHS.

That's great Nurse. A Harley street clinic, very posh. The transport for london website (tfl) will tell you the best route and time it takes if you type in euston station as start point and harley street as end point (although take a map from nearest station as harley street is quite long). Oh and if taking a rush hour tube stick your elbows out to create as much personal space as possible, take a bottle of water with you because it's stuffy and hold your nose because it always smells of armpits.

hehe, thaks mustard, i will try to avoid the rush hour tube then :) I know harley st very posh but when i looked into prices its not all as expensive as you think. thanks for the website address i will have a look. x x

Great news Nurse, I really hope it all goes well for you.

hey nurse, really please for you :)

nearest tube to Harley Street is Regents Park.

a trip from Euston to Harley street is easy peasy! go from the train to the tube station, 2 stops on the victoria line to Oxford Circus, change to the bakerloo line, one stop to regents park and you are there!

To be honest, its not too far from Euston and if you can afford it and its not rush hour, i'd come out of Euston and jump in a taxi - a lot less stressful if you've not been to London before xxxx

Thanks pos! think my train arrived a few hours before appointment so think i will find somewhere to eat then jump in a taxi as i had a quick look and it looks pretty close. the thought of underground on my own scares me a bit. hehe if OH was coming i would do it but he has to work :(

Hope you are well hun. xx

Hey hun this is great news. Can I ask what doc you have gone for? A friend of mines sister works for one of the top Harley St fertility docs so if by coincidence its the same one I will get her to mention it to her sister. I wrote up a list of questions about my worries and had some answers which was lovely of her (even though Ive never met her)

I think however far or costly it is that it will definitely be worth it when you get your BFP! Keep us posted on how it goes xx

Great news Nurse, :)

Good Luck in the smoke, you'll be fine you'll have a good time, are you gonna stay down with Hubby?

xx
