Boobs red and itchy

And they are a bit painful. I get like shooting pains in one of them every now and again.

There is a red patch above my nipples which is raised and bumpy like hives.

Any ideas? I think in gonna go to the GP on this straight away. I don't want it turning into sonething nasty

could it be thrush? have you checked in babies mouth.....is there any white stuff on her tongue? xx

There is white stuff but I thought it was sick remnants/milk? She's just fed.

Bah. I wish someone would cut me a break lol.

oh god love ya...get to gp straight away cos you will need stuff for your nipples and stuff to put in her mouth.

it does clear it up within a few days. but ist very painful for you

Sounds like thrush. Change ur breast pads regularly, when you get cream use it after every feed not 3 times a day as it days ad thrush grows in 90 mins!

Well apparently it's the puppp thing I had when I was pregnant!!

He has sent me on my way with e45 cream. Bollox, I know that's not going to work, nothing worked on that itchy rash

Yes it is a thrush, I had that when I was pregnant and I was not given an antifungal cream because I am a fulltime breastfeeding mum. I think you can control this by having the right type of breast pads and make sure you change it regularly. Buy something breathable and hypoallergenic like Mamaway Breast Pads or Pigeon.
