I have been doing Baby Led weaning for two months. I must admit he hasnt really dropped any feeds yet but does love being in control of his food. I enjoy giving him parsnips, tomatos, mashed potatos, cottage cheese, on the odd occasion chips, scampi, banana, pita, toast etc.. etc.. when it doesnt end up ont he floor and he swallows it then I am overjoyed. But I worry that it will take him longer to get into a routine as babies with jars and porridge fed to him (I would do this if he didnt fight me),

What is everyone elses experiences?

Not at all. We did BLW and I wouldn't say we had any problems with routine, although I was still bf on demand.

Your babies number 1 source of nutrition should be milk up to a year anyway, so it's a very good thing that he's not dropping milk at this stage.
