Bah, I can't believe I have to think about this. 7 weeks to go. Anyhoo, does anyone have decent meal ideas that I can put in Becky's lunchbox for when she goes to nursery? When I visited all the babies were sitting in highchairs being fed moosh which isn't really how it goes in our house any more. The nursery are happy to go with what we do at home which is great but I'm not sure what to give her - I want to know she'll be eating because at home she generally has something on toast followed by fruit which won't be as do-able as I doubt she'll be eating what she's flung on the floor like she can do at home

Would making something like spaghetti bolognese/cottage pie etc be an idea interspersed with sandwiches and fruit sticks.

Ideas welcome, especially for things I can prepare in advance! Thankoo!

I give DD the big pasta shapes they are really big so she can hold them, she has them cold ike a pasta salad with some veggies.

Why can she not have toast? I make DD toast and put it in a box and she has it cold later on ok its a little big soggy but it works or mini cheese toasties.

Sorry im not much help but things like the fruit sticks or little ham/cheese sandwiches or cheese fingers

How about quiche?

Pitta bread and humous?

Pitta & avacado?

Frittata?

Bubble & Squeek?

Potato cakes?

How about - koftas, felafel, mini pittas with hummous, vegetable batons etc

One thing I use which is great for BLW is a Beaba multi portion freezer tray - I use it instead for small selections of different foods. So I usually put in some chunks of cheese, ham, some oat cakes, blueberries, raspberries etc so Q can select what he'd like. It's a great way to transport a range of finger foods.
