Nell is 4 and for as long as I can remember, she has had episodes of having blue lips. I thought it might be because she is cold or something, but she's in the bath now, fairly warm and her lips are practically blue/black, it's really noticeable. Usually it is just a tinge of blue, but it's like she's wearing make up. I'm shitting myself. I don't know why. What on earth could it be????????

Blue colour around mouth or lips is usually due to lack of oxygen? Does she have asthma?

No she doesn't but thanks for the reply. No idea what it could be?!

Does she get a cough with it? Blue lips can be a sign of croup x

Nope, no cough or anything. I know you can get blue lips with circulation problems, but I'm just hoping it's nothing!

I'd take her to the docs when it flares up just to be absolutely certain x

The mini one went thru a stage of this happening and I still dint know why! Hope it's nothing hun cxx

Even if she seems okay in herself, keep an eye on her breathing maybe? Since he had the bronchiolitis Cian goes blue quite often (around his mouth tho, rather than his actual mouth) and when we notice this, we check his chest and it coincides with him struggling so we know to find the inhaler fast!
I duno, maybe breathing too shallow for a while and then corrects herself? I would mention to a doc tho?
x
