Hi Ladies

It's my 1st wedding anniversary today - spooky! (shame I can't wear my wedding ring cus of swollen fingers!)

I wanted to cook steak for tea and I adore blue cheese sauce with steak and vegetables but haven't had it so far this pregnancy, I heard that if blue cheese is cooked it's ok? can anyone veriify this?

I was told by my MW to avoid all soft cheese's and if you were to eat any only to mke sure it was hard cheese. :)

I am fairly sure cooking blue cheese doesn't make any difference sorry hun  how about getting some pepper boursin you can make a lovely peppered cheese sauce using that

I was told you can eat these cheeses if they are cooked and piping hot.
Just done a google search and yes if its cooked its safe as cooking kills off the listeria. :D

Agreed as long as its very hot then it kills off the bacteria's........so enjoy your steak and Happy 1st Anniversary!!! :cheer:

Excellent! That's what I was hoping to hear! lol looking forward to a lovely meal now!

I read in a pregnancy magazine just yesterday that blue cheese in sauces/soups/on pizza etc is OK if really hot - woo hoo, I'm getting in some broccoli and stilton soup this weekend (and I'm going to have a small glass of red wine to go with it now that they're saying it's OK again  )

*cries* We're having steak tonight too. But I like my blue cheese melted on to the steak after it's cooked so it's a no no.

I'll just go with extra mature.. it's close... ish... ;)

Hope you have a nice night!

xxx

Oh magic ! I miss blue cheese ! I think a blue cheese pizza sounds the business !
