They found some protein in my urine 2 weeks ago and sent it away for testing - 2 weeks later I finally get a letter saying I need to see my GP and get treatment for a UTI. WHY does it take sooooooo long to diagnose and treat cystitis??? So I've been walking around with it for the last 2 weeks.....surely they couldve told me that there and then? Good job I haven't got anything more serious.....grrrrr, rant over!

  i know they are such a pain in the ass they did the same thing to me
with my iron levels..2 weeks later got a letter saying my levels were 4.7 or something
like really low and i should go buy some tablets!! pfft :shakehead:
It's not good enough is it!! hope you get your tablets and it clears up soon hun xx

Grrr how frustrating!! :wall:

At least you have meds for it now, but GRRRR again at how long these things take!

 Hope you feel more comfy soon - Give your body a break before the hard work begins! :cheer: x

Aww hun that is an arse!! If it is cystitis, I swear by Cynamol sachets...the taste is not the best (let it settle once diluting and down it fast - have fresh water ready to take away the taste if needed!) stick to the recommended dosage and it will be cleared up in a couple of days

Thanks girls - are these ok during preg? Just been to docs and I decided against antibiotics - turns out the bug I have is resistant to all antibiotics except one type which may pose a small risk to baby so am stocking up on cranberry juice. But I'll get some Cynamol if they're safe to take? x

Geeze, 2 weeks? That's awful. I went in today and the doc took a look at the sample and prescribed immediate antibiotics for 1 week, it was a very fast diagnosis. I hope yours clears up soon (and mine! )

I asked my doc at 21 weeks when I had it then, he just asked how far I was then said yes, absolutely fine :) You may want to ask first if you're not sure - even just over the phone.
