Last week I had a midwife appointment, during which I mentioned that my sister had had Obstetric Cholestasis during pregnancy, and that I'd been suffering with itching this time around. So the midwife took my blood, told me not to worry as it's unlikely as I didn't have it last time around, and told me to book to see the doctor the following week.
Well, I went to see the doc on Tuesday, and she told me that I didn't have it, but gave me a prescription for diprobase to thoroughly moisturise the dry, itchy skin. I was chuffed about this.
Anyway, today I have got home from work to find a letter from the main Doctor, dated Friday, saying I need to call him regarding a recent test I have had, and that he is available from about 1pm each day to talk on the phone, and that I have to inform the receptionist that I've been asked to call regarding my path lab results - so now, obviously, I am worried sick! I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight!
I only have one kidney (had one removed about 10 years ago), and I'm worried something has shown up (she didn't seem to just take one set of blood - she took about 5 vials full!)! Arrghh! I can't find anything out until tomorrow lunch time now, and I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind, but I just can't!
