blood test bruises... HELP!

ive got 4 (dam doctor!) and one on my arm is swollen to the size of a large grape and its black .


Am i best to put something cold on it, or something warm? i can't move my blooming left arm! is sending shoting pains down my arm.

I would say if its swollen put something cold on it. On a side note, I'm really sorry about your bad news Sam

try getting some gauze or cotton wool and soaking it in witch hazel and freezing it then puttting it on. the witch hazel with bring out bruising quicker and the iceyness with reduce the swelling.

cheers ladies. ive got an ice cube in a flannel on it for now. Ive not got any hazel, but i will get some for the future. thanks for the tip

she took it from quite high up my arm (not in the crease). I was a bit of a wuss and had a funny turn. I thought i had managed to deal with my problem with needles, but it almost got to much.
