What has everyone been?

I went into hospital with a cyst at 10 weeks and even tho my bloodpressure was "within normal limits" it was on the low side.
Every time i go back it is low.
I'm 32 years old, not particulary fit and with a BMI of 26 (which is a little bit over what it should be) so in theory my blood pressure should be a little higher than average.

i had an apointment yesterday and got all hot and bothered in the hot waiting room and my bllod pressure was still only 100/60

Is it a normal thing with pregnancy?

mine has been 100/60 and 100/50.

was never told if this was normal or not

adults are supose to be 130/80 or something along those lines?

I'm hugely unfit, BMI is into the 40's  and my BP is 102/70 although when i was at the hospital and really stressed out it was 140/90 :?
I'd definitely ask the midwife or GP to keep an eye on it if your worried though petal

Mine's 98/55. They keep telling me it's on the low side but fine, though I have suffered a lot with dizziness throughout the pregnancy and I don't know if this is related to my bloodpressure.

mine has been low through out this pregnancy, at around 95/57 but had it doen today and it was 100/60 was so much better wahooo!

mine has gone 120/60, 120/80, 136/70, 120/72 and today 130/74. mw is perfectly happy with this. i said i dont understand the numbers just tell me if its good or bad :wall:

Hi Girls,
Normal Blood Pressure is around about the 120/70.

Your diastolic (bottom number) is the one to watch and if it drops bellow 50, then you are classed as having low blood pressure. (I've had this and was advised by GP "Not to stand for a bus" ) So if you have low BP then take your time getting up from sitting down or lying down. Go nice a slowly and be aware that you will feel "light headed", dizzy and can pass out.

If your diastolic is above 90 then you are classed as having high BP, this is of course dangerous to anyone, but especially us pregger ones as it can be an indication of pre-eclampsia. If your readings creep above 90 you should be monitored closely.

Looking at all your readings you are all perfect (but, you already knew that!)....just remember.....no prolonged standing about "waiting on buses"!!!

 My blood pressure is always low..... a cool 90/60...... but when i lost By Baby in October the last time I had to get a blood transfusion and iron...my pressure in hospital pre op was only 60/40.... pretty low eh... But easy sorted then..and WOW ! with the iron tablets after I got home I felt physically great..(ok Emotional Wreck) But..not drained or tired.. wonderful stuff.....

So unless my BP drops by a great deal.... I aint going to worry... low BP is much healthier during pregnancy than High BP..as it carries huge risks..

So try not to worry... the MW will check it on every visit..
Lv Yvonne xx
