I am constantly vomiting since I woke up this morning. I cannot hold a thing down. Also there was a trace of blood in my last vomit. I am stuck to the bed at the moment, heaving! I have a nasty headcold too. Would this cold agrivate vomiting? And should I worry about the blood if it's only a bit?

You've probably strained yourself through heaving but I'd get checked out. If you're vomiting enough to make yourself bleed then there is something that needs to be done. You'll dehydrate quickly being pregnant and it can make you really poorly. Definitely give the Dr a ring and talk to him.

I had hyperemesis my first pregnancy and threw up multiple times every day for several weeks. It burned the back of my throat which made it really sore and gave me streaks of blood in my vomit. My guess would be that's what is happening with you but if it is more than a little blood I'd get checked. The most dangerous thing about throwing up that much is you can get dehydrated really quickly. Can you keep any liquids down?

I have been diagnosed with hypermesis. Not been holding liquids today, which is strange because I have been throwing up food for weeks but holding down fluids. I feel so miserable today :( I'm starting to think I maybe pocked up a bug on top of the sickness.

The only time I could drink was when I got up in the middle of the night. Annoying because I had to keep going pee in the night too but it was worth it to keep me out of hospital.

Hope you feel better soon. It was one of the most awful things I've ever been through so you have my sympathy. Labour was a breeze compaired to the sickness ;). Has the doctor given you anti sickness meds?

Poor you, that sounds awful. Hope you start to feel better soon. I'm sure you've tried this, but I find plain ice lollies much easier to get down than either food or liquid just now.

It's awful having hypermesis, I really sympathise with you,I've been diagnosed with it too. I got some anti sickness tablets on Monday and have only been sick once (last night) there's been a thread created for those of us suffering with it. Really hope you start to feel better soon.xx

I threw up so much during pregnancy and have had at times before too never had blood, I'd ring 111 for advise x
