bleeding ear :-(

never ever had this before but was just on the comp and my ear felt funny like i got too much ear wax in it and went to clean it and there was a lil bit of blood. it feels a bit weird now. got an antenatal appointment tomorrow. debating whether i should call docs or just wait till my appointment

Go to the docs! My OH had something similar last week and had an infection. He had no hearing in 1 ear for 2 weeks

rang the docs earlier and they didnt have any appointments left for today and said they'll send a doc round but if they dont get here by 3 (my appointments at 3:45) to ring at 8. ill have to do that but gonna go hospital and mention it to the consultant and see if he can have a look x

I did this the other week! Saw an out of hours clinic and then my gp cos the out of hours said i'd ruptured the membrane and needed antibiotics. I hadn't, it was just still waxy which is why i couldn't hear anything properly. The blood was nothing, and mostly all i got told repeatedly was "don't stick things in your ear"

To get rid of the wax, i was using a syringe to put in a mix of warm water and bicarbonate of soda, tipping my head to the other side so it settles, leave it for 5 mins and then tip my head so it comes out onto a tissue. I was actually really naughty and used the syringe it back out as i'm impatient. It took several applications but it seems to be clear now

ah ok i might give that a go. my mum was saying its probably cos ive got a bit ofa head cold.its not too bad today( my ear that is lol). think ill just wait and see how it goes x
