Finally got to see Black Swan over the weekend. :-)

Brilliant movie. Very very 'dark' throughout. Nails stuck in palms of hands a couple of times but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks Dawn, I've been dying to see this film but wanted to hear of reviews first so defo on my list of things to do
xxx

I watched it a few weeks back and was like  it's brilliantly done but not for the faint hearted at all. My parents were on about seeing it and I said "no no no you really shouldn't"! When we watched it o/h's sister was with us and he was cringeing big time

I saw this a few weeks ago, but to be honest was left feeling a little disappointed :(

I love Aronofsky's films, and went in with high expectations, but definitely think this was his weakest. The actual film itself is beautifully shot, the score is brilliant (it's courtesy of Clint Mansell though, of course it's brilliant! Love him!) and Natalie Portman in particular is excellent as always. However I thought the story was formulaic, bordering on mysogynistic (which I didn't think was needed really), and just didn't live up to the effort that was put into actually getting the film made.

I thought it was brill and I've seen it twice now and still think its fab. my gran was on about going to see it and I was a bit like 'not too sure if you'll like it really gran', and she said 'oh isnt it about the ballet I'm sure I'll like it'!!!!! Don't think she's been to see it yet though.

I loved the dancing - natalie portman is very dedicated and fantastic actress! I thought it kindof came to an end very suddenly and was expecting more of the black swan (in costume) to appear throughout! I found as it went on it got very predictable too!

That was mainly my problem with it too, it's so beautifully made but the story just didn't do it justice, you could see what was coming a mile off!
