Ok so Evan doesn't have teeth yet but he has started to clamp down on my poor nipple during some feeds. When I take him off and say no sternly I just get a cheeky grin. Any suggestions for discouraging this?! xx

I'm in the same situation but with vicious shark like razor teeth ha ha ha. I know slight exaggeration ;-) but feels like it. She's yet to full on clamp down as I do what you've said you do. Some suggest to push them on rather than pull them off. This is meant for them to have to let go tks to take a breath. But that's the last thing I feel like doing! I'm hoping it's a 'phase' lol and I'll stick with what I'm doing and iwont let her feed for a little bit after. X

My son bites occasionally and i just say ow,no biting! And put my boob away! Ive noticed be only tends to do it as he is cutting a tooth so its not all the time luckily! He did use to clamp and turn away with nipple still in his mouth when he was about 5/6 months which was annoying but didnt really hurt. I'd say keep doing what you're doing and try not to respond to the cheeky grin (hard i know!)X

The above is exactly what i used to do so he got the message slowly that milk went away if he did it. He did still chew a bit but knew not to bite hard , think me jumping made him jump too judging by the shocked look on his face !

Hang in there , its the stage where lots of ladies give up,but you miss the easy bit then! i gave up at 12 mths and my son had all his teath except the big back 4 he got at age 2 by then!

Not planning on giving up anytime soon, just would rather have both nipples still attached lol!

I'm now terrified cos his first tooth has poked through...
