I've seen a few places on the internet selling biodegradable nappies and wondered if anyone had tried them?

Are they as good as normal nappies? They seem to work out about £5 for 30 nappies.

I am hoping to buy some shaped re-usuables, but would like to use the occasional disposable too.

All help appreciated! :D

I've tried one, it worked just fine but looked horrible!

I KNOW it's good for the environment and shouldn't be so shallow but I hated that tea-stained colour :D

Lol!

Are they brown on the outside too then?

Not brown as such, just that wierd recycled off-white that makes them look grubby :?

I like to do my planet saving with cute re-usables instead (and yes, that's mainly for asthetics too! :D )

 hello  hello kitty

i am definitly gonna use these and reusable/washables too.
i'm buying mine from spirit of nature. although are you aware that they have to be biodegraded in the correct way for it to be effective,

in effect all you have to basically do. really simply, buy a big, thick, hefty dust bin, drill some holes in the bottom, put gravel in for drainage purposes and create in effect a compost bin but you also have to buy some specific worms too, i'll find the link for you!!!!

i think its worth it though :D

here you go

Oh worms?

Oh I see I didn't realise that! I don't have a garden at the moment so that could be an issue.

So what you are saying is that if I put a biodegradable nappies out with the rubbish, then it wont actually biodegrade?
