Well after numerous tests, including a clear blue digital one, it looks like I am pregnant. I must admit, the signs are good but I am completely confused. I am going to the doctors on Monday and I know the first question they will ask is what was the first day of my last period. How am I going to explain this (apologies for the long post!):
My first day started on Saturday 13th Sept - it was brown cm and it was light - I only needed a pantyliner, if anything. This continued until Thursday 18th Sept when it became more red and period like. This period type blood lasted until Saturday 20th Sept and then it became different. I noticed it was darker red, like the end of my period blood but it was shiny? I know this sounds daft, but I thought to myself that it looked as though it was streaked with ewcm. It was not just normal end-of-your-period blood, it was thinner and stretchier.
Anyway, by Monday morning it was super light coloured and it was only there when I wiped. OH woke up feeling horny and so we did the deed then, even though I was slightly worried I was still spotting. He never noticed anything and after we did it, there was only very, very light coloured cm, no blood - this lasted until about Wednesday.
Then, this Monday I had pains in my left hand side, near my ovary region which lasted throughout the day, but had gone by Tuesday morning. Since then I have just had the odd twinge. I also had browny cm, so I thought it was ovulation and lept on OH!
On Tuesday, I did a ov test and it was positive, so I really thought I was finally ovulating and lept on OH again. But, on Wednesday I was still ovulating according to the ov tests, which was strange, and so this made me do my first preg test, which was faint but positive. I then did another later in the evening which was still faint but definitely a positive. I did another test yesterday morning and that was clearly a positive and so I did the digi when I got to work which also said I was pregnant.
My question, although rather drawn out (sorry!) is could I have ovulated at the end of my period - was it a period at all, and if I did ovulate would I (if I hadn't conceived) have had my 'real' period this Sunday/Monday - hence the preg tests already showing a positive? I thought it weird that I was getting a positive preg test already as I assumed, on the basis that my period had started officially with the red blood on 18th September, that my next period wouldn't be due until 16th October (based on a 28 day cycle) - which is weeks off!!!
Anyone with any experience, views etc, I would love to hear them. I am so happy to have a bfp but I am also worried that my hormones are all over the place and therefore the little eggy won't be able to stick.
