Hi all, as the title says I got a yesterday .

I wasnt due to test til 22nd but one of my best friends called me yesterday to tell me she is pregnant! She got pregnant after the first month of trying and only started thinking about having a baby cos I was trying! So of course Im happy for her but at the same time Im very upset. So I went and got a First Response which was obviously negative.

I just cant believe it happened so quick for her, also shes the 2nd very close friend whos gotten pregnant since we started trying.

I havent had much luck with OPK's. I tried Boots ones the first month and got no positive from CD11 - 18, then ebay ones this month and no positive from CD11 - 24! Would everyone recommend the clearblue digi ones? Whats a better method, OPK's or charting temps and CM? I am on a total mission to pregnant next month (will be 5th month trying). Also wishing I hadnt told people we were trying I think theyre starting to think OH has a problem (I have a son already) and its gonna be hard to hide how upset I am when I see my newly pregnant mate

sorry you got BFN i know it is heart breaking!

I know how you feel a friend of mine has also just announced that she is pregnant and the same situation only thought about trying because i was - bloody friends!

She also fell first month i have been trying since May and to make matters worse i think i have missed ov this month - i want to cry!

I am using OPK from the internet - i am thinking of getting digi one though!

Hey Girls.

I have used all sorts this month - Asda, Tesco, Internet cheapies and Clearblue Digi and have no +OPK on CD24...

So i would just recommend a very healthy sex life of every other day that way you shouldn't miss your ovulation as you would bd within 24 - 48 hours of ovulation!!

Also maybe try doing your temp and charting your cm aswell as that may help you to if it doesn't show up on the tests then you can help predict when you will ovulate...

temping is good along with opks. google it and there is lots of info out there - oh and sex every other day and you will catch that egg. good luck!!

Thanks girls. Its not possible for me to BD every other day at the mo as OH is working away monday to friday...we had planned for me to do OPK's and when I get a positive he'd pull a sickie and come home for a couple of days! So as Ive not had a positive its possible we havent even been doing it at the right times.... He'll be working away for another month or 2 so i think im going to do temps and cm as well as opk's this month. Ive also stopped smoking as of today, I dont smoke much, just a few a day unless im out drinking but it can only help!

hey hun, i did cheapy opks from CD09 - CD19....when ran out yest started using Tesco OPK;s, they are clearer than the cheaper ons but not a heck of alot considering higher in price. i dont think I have OV'd tho yet and im on CD20 today

Its a bummer u cant BD every other day as u have a higher chance of catching egg, but as long as you keep doing opks you should be ok, fair play to ur OH willing to pull some sickies lol FX fr you hun xxx

I really feel for you. Since I started ttc it seems all my friends have announced they are pregnant. And it seems to happen so quickly for them! It happened to me yesterday met a fried for coffee and found out she is pregnant. Only started trying last month! So Jammy. Still happy for her though even if I did have a little cry when I got home! It will happen for us lovely. Hugs xx
