Hey all!

I usually have 30 day cycles without fail, so I thought that I would ovulate around day 14/15/16 ish (this is my first month trying so not 100% sure). Anyways I started doing the cheapie OPK's on CD9 I think, and decided to save my CBD's for nearer the time when I *thought* I would ovulate.

I got a slightly dark line on CD11 on the cheapies but it didn't look positive so I took it to mean that ovulation must be right around the corner so started my CBD OPK's . They have never shown up positive. I'm now on CD18 and still nothing.

Could it be possible that I ovulated on CD11 with a 30 day cycle? Can I have a 19 day luteal phase? And if so, would that mean that something is 'wrong'? I'm so confused with it all! :eh:

Hmm. I haven't heard of 19 day LP's but I'm not sure if it's "impossible". It's possible to have short LP's though so maybe rather than ovulate in the middle of your cycle, you ovulate later.

I would keep going with the OPKs and see what happens.

Not much help hun but all I would do is carry on with them - you never know. x x

I think it could be possible.

Before worrying about it though have you thought about temperature charting?
It would help you to pin point exactly when you OV - although it won't predict it, it will only show it after it has happened but it would be helpfull for you to check the length of LP

When I used OPK's I never ever got a positive line so thats why I started with the temperature charting,
I stopped doing it for a few months but will start again if AF gets me in 10 days time!

Good Luck x x x

Thank you ladies! I have been charting my temps;

CD11 - 36.7 (The day I got my darkish line)
CD12 - 36.7
CD13 - 36.8
CD14 - 36.7
CD15 - 36.8
CD16 - 36.8
CD17 - 36.9
CD18 - 36.9

All my temps before CD11 were between 35.4 and 36.6

Have you always had 30 day cycles, it may be possible that you are having a longer cycle this month and you havent ovulated yet.

Maybe keep testing with the cheapies and if you see anything on them then use a CB to get a better result x x

If you take your temps in Farenheit instead of celsius it will show the rise in temperature clearer,
