What have you all got & which is the best?
I'm thinking Dyson but not sure they are worth all that money!. Going to buy a new one tomorrow before I throw my one through the window, I can only hoover one room at a time, it switches itself off, driving me mad grrrrrrr takes me all day the do the whole house!!

Henry is GREAT!!!! He sucks up anything! In the past few weeks he's sucked up bits of plasterboard, tile, wire, nails! LOL! Honestly, a great vacuum! We found the Dyson a bit touchy! The thermostat cut it off if it was on for any length of time...but other people love the Dyson.

I love my Dyson..it picks up heaps..had it two years with noprobs

Dyson for me too. The animal one (if you've got pets) its fantastic. It cost nearly £300 and tbh I debated for a while, after all its a lot to spend on a hoover. But as soon as I used it, it was well worth it. The crap it picked up from my carpets was shocking!

We have had our Dysin for almost 3 years now - other than changing the filter (which is usually the problem if it loses suck) and then giving it a new belt (cost £5 for 2 from B&Q and took DH 2 mins to change the snapped one over) it still works A-Ok.

Looking forward to it breaking though as I want a new one.....it just isn't ready to leave us yet :rotfl:

I've had my Dyson for pretty much 4 years and had no problems. I love it.

we have a dyson animal and it is brilliant
weve had it for a few yrs and it still works great

for three years we kept buying cheap ones but they kept breaking so this year we splashed out and got a dyson and it comes with 5 years guarantee free

we have laminate everywhere downstairs but lounge and we still hoover it

Hi we have got a Vax Swift Turbo. It is a really good hoover with a good suck and it's bagless which is so much better. I bought mine off of e bay a lot cheaper than in the shops. It was graded but that just means that it might have slight cosmetic damage although mine had hardly any.

I've had my dyson for 7 years, need to replace it now as i broke it by banging it on the floor, but would definately buy another.

Tis ok hun :D I hoover our wood floor downstairs then use a mop to clean it.

Well we decided to get ours fixed as it would be alot cheaper than buying new so dragged it to a 'specialist' today who said it just needs a new filter, fab we thought, put in a new one and off I go hoovering the house, managed to do the lounge & half the kitchen when the poxy, bl*&dy, F@%*ing thing conked out again.
I have demanded war with it
