An anyone advise me of the best double/ tandem pram that we can use for a toddler and baby? I don’t really want to spend loads but am willing to pay within reason for a good quality one. I’m so clueless and it’s early days so it feel to soon to go into shops to look.

Thanks ladies.

I was JUST about to post the same thread! I would love to know this too, but live in a flat so need one that’s over and under and easy to fold!

I've got my eye on the icandy Orange as it can be a single or a double with lots of different seat combinations - it's just a lot of my money! I'll have a newborn and a 14 month old.

Thanks for the suggestion! I just googled it and it is a lot isn’t it! I never expected to need to buy a double, just assumed it would take longer to get pregnant and I could use the travel system we bought for DD2!! Oh well, guess we have time!

YES! This! ^

We spent £800 on a travel system when expecting DS. Came with a pushchair, carrycot, car seat, isofix base, and accessories like attachements for car seat and cupholder. It's a beautiful blue colour and I really didn't want to have to spend another ridiculous amount on a double!
We'll be keeping the car seat and isofix so I don't know how much I could sell it for, considering it's only a year old!

I don't know how we're going to afford one on a single income, as I'm not going back to work for the next two years... :wall2:

I think I may go for a browse at the shops and see what we can get. Would you consider a second hand one if in good condition?

I think I’d have to! I preferably want one I can convert into a single if that makes sense, so I don’t have to keep my current pushchair, but I’ve been looking online just now and want to cry at the prices.
Need to speak with OH about it.

Someone on the Glow app recommended the Babystyle Oyster Max 2 tandem. It's so much cheaper than others on the market, so I'm looking in to it atm...

Specs state:

Single stroller that easily converts to a tandem.
Available in a choice of mirror or black finish chassis.
Carrycot compatible in both single and tandem mode.
Over 25 combinations for car seats, carrycots, seat units, ride-on-boards etc.
Multi position, lie-flat, seat unit which can be parent or forward facing.
Lie-flat tandem seat.
Narrow lightweight chassis with height adjustabe handle.
Lockable front swivel wheels.
Large shopping basket.
Transforms into a travel system.

What do you guys think about this?

Funnily enough I was just looking at that one! I guess for me it's because I like the icandy brand so
much which is why I'm drawn to it - I've used my icandy Strawberry for both girls, I bought in Jan 2015 I think and it's still in good condition, no issues with it whatsoever and I still love it. I like familiarity.

In case anyone’s interested, I paid a quick visit to mothercare this morning (crazy I know, at only five weeks pregnant)! I was asking if they do any double travel systems that aren’t getting on for £1000. She was showing me one of their own prams called the mothercare genie, which she said would be about £480 I think. It’s compatible with some well known car seats and both of the seats convert from carrycots to toddler seats. So this is what I’m looking for at the moment. We currently have the mothercare orb and have found it to be a really good travel system.

She was also telling me that they do events where you can get vouchers for 15% off of you spend £1000.

I must confess though, I did have a little browse at the icandy prams and they are lovely and shiny!!

The problem I have with tandems though (and j think it’s the case for the mothercare genie) is that one baby or toddler will be in the very bottom of the pram unable to see anything. It looks so unsafe and claustrophobic. Also no shopping space. My kiddo would absolutely hate that and make going out a nightmare. But I live in a flat so a side by side one might not work because I dunno if I can’t get in in the lift or through the hallway. Urgh why isn’t he walking.
