Ok, so Cam is very very sicky.

I have lost count of how many times he has puked up so far today.

He will be six months soon, so we will be moving him on to follow on milk.

He is currently on Aptamil and as we will be changing milk anyway, I though I would try a different brand and see if he is less sick

Can anyone recommend a brand that is good for sicky babies and will hopefully, please, please, please, help to reduce the amount of up chuck coming my way?

Emily maybe you just try to thicken its milk? There is a thickener that you can buy or your gp can prescribe it to you. I do t know the uk name but show it mentioned earlier so going to read again those threads and come back to you. If it works then you can maybe add it to the second stage milk.

There found it. Carobel its named. Maybe you google about it and see what you can find?

Idea about other brand milks in uk I am sorry :(

Hi hun we use cow and gate in baby special care unit. (I work in nursing) its known for making babies less sicky, xx

I had Harry on aptimal comfort and found it made him quite sicky. We have him on Hipp now and he's so much better! He still has the odd day where he is a bit sicky but nothing like it was. I think there's a few other ladies on here who have moved to Hipp aswell and have found it made the sickness a lot better.
Hope you get it sorted hun! xxx

I have the worlds worst sicky baby. Well thats what my washing machine would tell you anyway. Weve tried every single brand of milk, normal, comfort and reflux varieties abd nothing g has helped. Out of them all the best for us has been sma comfort but it did eventually stop doing what it was doing. Hipp us great in the respect that she regularily poops and is less windy and sick stopped for 2 weeks but its back. Wr are now trialling enfamil. Its a stay down milk and isnt thick like the others, its supposed to thicken in the tummy not bottle.

My girl is at her grans but shes text to say shes scoffed 2 bottles and not been sick once. Its unheard of these days. We just got it today. Xx

I bought some Hipp today when we went shopping.

I'll start him on it once we've finished this last carton of Aptamil.

Fx it makes a difference.

I know some babies are just sicky but still got to be worth a try.

Hey Emily,

How weird, I was just go ogling best formula for a sicky baby and this was the top result and it's you!!!

Mollie is on Aptamil and is SO sick. Docs are doing nothing and says some babies are just sickier than others but I'm tempted to swap her milk. How was Cam on the Hipp organic? Was he still as sick? Did you change back? Xxx

Haha!

We kept him on Hipp after that.

If I'm honest I really can't properly remember, but I think there was a slight improvement.

I used sma staydown for my pukasauras
Worked like a charm. Tried carobel and found it quite hard to get the right consistency, either got a milk lump in the bottle or it didn't seem to thicken.

I use hipp and infant gaviscon for my lo. He was too bunged up and colicky on reflux milk. Am now wondering if a stay down milk would work better now he is older and would avoid use of the gaviscon. But hipp really helped him x
