Hello Frens . I am trying to concieve from last 9 months . I am 35 yrs old ,so I am bit concern about the age factor .

Kindly can anyone advise me for the best fertile days to try for sex. My periods as such are regular , 4 5 days here and their .

My last 3 dates for the periods are as follow-

June-8th
May -9th
April-5th

So can anyone advise me which wil be the best 6 days and date to do sex.

I would suggest downloading an app like Glow which will be able to help you pinpoint ov days for you personally. With a 28 day cycle the average ov day is day 14 (e.g. Half way through) however this isn't always the case. If you want to get a better idea then the best way is to start with an app and maybe OPKs (ovulation predictor kit). Good luck!

Hi Ishika,

I would go and buy a few ovulation kits from the supermarket (you normally get about 3-5 in a pack I think) and start as soon as your period has finished taking them, one a day, every morning. They will tell you when you ovulate, and when you're ovulating these are the most fertile days.

Make a note of which days the tests say you are ovulating. You can do this over a period of a few months to get a proper feel for when your most fertile days are - you will probably start to see a pattern.

The general rule of thumb seems to go something like this:

"Ovulation usually occurs between 12 and 14 days before your period starts. This is an average, so it could be a couple of days earlier or later.

For example, say you have a regular 28-day menstrual cycle. Count the first day of your period as day one. Your fertile window is likely to be around days 10 to 15.

However, a lot of women have an irregular cycle. If your cycle is irregular, ovulation may occur a week earlier or later from one month to the next."

Good luck! Try and relax and enjoy!

I would chart your cycles whether on paper or app. Everyone ovulates on diff day. Monitor your cervical mucus...I also recommend temping. Sperm actually lasts 2-3 days depending on weather, so opks are a good idea. If you can dtd every 2 days you are pretty much covered anyway.

I would incourage you to try OPK. Having something telling you when your best days for conceiving are is one less stresa off the list :) I used the clearblue and ebay cheapies at the same time. It's good fun really :)

Figers crossed you get your double lines soon xx

My cycles are longish and not very regular. I had a 38, 41 and then 33 days and I tried using an app, and had a rough idea, but it was the opk that really did it! I bought 30 ovulation sticks for £2.39 from eBay. Used them for the first time in March and got a positive with very obvious cramps and so DTD. Got my BFP 12 days later. :)
