Colliers about to get his first injection (yes 2 weeks late)
Im wordering if any of your babies had any side efects after having the injection
tiredness, crying, feeling unwell?

I like to know just in case so i have some idea what to look for and not to freak ut if he dose become unwell as i'l know its the injection Or signs to watch for if he is having a bad reaction

Thank you

Angel got a slight temperature and slept for a couple of days in the daytime. She cried for a minute then forgot about it. She was a bit grizzly for 24 hours but back to smiling after.

Becky was fine with them hun. She was very grisly for a few hours after but I think this was more the upset of having needles stuck in her legs and being poked around at a time in the morning when she'd usually be having a nap. I gave her some calpol, she slept 4 hours and was fine. For the second lot there were no problems at all except she had a red bump at the injection sites for a few days afterwards which I was told could happen.

All the best for them (Becky had her injections late too) and  for you - he will be just fine!

Phoebe slept a lot, and also had a slight fever for just over 24 hours. She ended up having 3 doses of Calpol to keep it down (2 on day one and 1 further dose on the second day on recommendation of the HV).

She was fine after her second lot. I am wondering if having a cold didn't help at the first set - however they said she was fine to have them.

We have the third lot next week :( 3 injections poor little thing

Violet has hers tomorrow :( so this is a good thread for me to read.
Hope Colliers go ok..good luck

Galen didn't get his first set till 9 weeks due to monumental cock up of mass appointment times and me walking out after an hour waiting for his appointment. I made a complaint as soon as I got home and was given a private appiontment the following week.

And umm nope, no side effects for LO. I asked if there were any with the first jabs and was told maybe a slight temp and a bit fretful but nothing really serious. As Galen was old enough we were told he could have baby/infant Calpol if need be. I never gave it as he was fine.

Some people give Calpol before hand regardless but I don't like doing that sort of thing. I'd rather wait and see what happens as I don't like giving any meds without there being a need.

Had is second set yesterday... no side effects from either. He was fine...

Fingers Crossed your LO will be the same.

When we got to the docs he was fast asleep and the first injecton he was still waking up and didnt seem to notice ut the second one hed woken up more and let out as squeel made my heart melt lots of hugs and kisses where given
He was ok for a little while then became restless and grumpy lots of crying bless him and he felt all hot and a bit sweaty

I hate calpol to ive heard from the parents at nursety how they over use it and use it as a pacifier
makes my blood boil you dont give it to a child just because thier crying and will not go to sleep and has put me right off the stuff
sorry getting of soap box now
But i will use it if necessary an ONLY if necessary and i felt it was today as he was getting a temprature and grizzly. The Nurse reccomened i give him it and i went with my own judgement and tonight we both decided he needed it

Hes been very restless tonight due to it hes usually a brilliant night sleeper but its took me till now to get him complealty a sleep and rested
Hopfully he'llbe over the worst of it and tommorow he feel better my poor lamb lamb
