Hi All,

Just wondering how often you bathed your newborn. Ollie loves bath times but hes only had two so far. I'd like to pop him in every night (not using any products just literally warm water). Would it be ok?

i dint give Thomas a bath for the first 15 days i just washed him down in the morning and at night,
now he only has a bath twice a week using olatuim in it for his skin and baby shampoo for his hair :)
xx

TBH I don't see any need to bathe a small baby every day. I only used to bath Galen once a week for the first 2 months. I found it dried out his skin a lot having too many baths. But if you want to then go ahead.

I didn't bath Galen at all for the first 10 days after he was born :) Not even right after his birth.

I bath Faith every day and have done since she was about 2 weeks old. She loves her bath :D There is no reason why not if that's what you'd like to do :D

I agree with Suzie :D I bathed Finlay every day from about a month old and he loves it :D

I was bathing Connie everyday but her skin has really dried out recently so have cut it down to every other day unless she puked in her hair or something. Just play it by ear, if you think his skin is getting dry then cut it down, Connie was fine bathing everyday up until 3 months.

So far I have bathed Lola once a week as her skin gets so dry but she loves it so once her skin isnt so "newborn" I will probably bathe her everyday/ every couple of days!! :D

I didn't bath ds1 until his cord fell off (4 days) and healed up (about a week later I think?). Then I bathed him about once or twice a week until he was a couple of months old. I didn't start bathing him once a day until he was about 5 months and getting mucky every day.

As long as his skin doesn't get dry you could bath him every day though, just keep an eye on it.

We've bathed her every day from early on as well (about a month old probably) because it did wonders distracting her during her colicky phase. Never had problems with drying her skin out but we still put olive oil on her skin a couple of times a week to keep it lovely and soft :)
