So went to buy the buggy today from mamas and papas, what a palaver!

Yes I went for the Ultima :)

When we originally went in and chose it and payed a deposit (in June) we were reassured that everything was added to our package bar the sun umbrella that my MIL brought. We paid a deposit and went away.

So today we went to pay the last of it and I thought I'd just check we had everything so I asked about the foot muff. They said no that wasn't included. We were confused and said that we were meant to have it (baring in mind it costs about £60) I then asked about the rain cover and again this hadn't been included. My OH was about to go mad and I think the woman could see that so we only got the £40 rain cover for free!
I'm going to try and get a foot muff on eBay.

I've also had some problems with my iPhone button sticking so we popped onto the apple shop. They are giving me a brand new iPhone for free ad apparently mine is still under warranty! Going to collect it next sat, OH is very jealous!

And in other news, the lady about the flat swap text us saying she's not interested anymore and not bothering to view our place, gutted doesn't really cover it! Back to square one and having to get my head around having a baby in a studio flat :(

I would have stook to my guns about the fact you didn't get your footmuff! Write in a letter - its worth a shot it may not work but they may do something!

Nice one on the phone!

And gutted the lady wasn't interested but maybe it will lead to better things - everything happens for a reason lol xx

Glad u got ur pram and rain cover hope
U get the foot muff for cheap! Stay positive and hopefully
There will be more interest on your flat to swap! Mist be gutting though. Silly woman! X

Ah stupid woman! Good about pram tho! Check gumtree too for footmuff

Ahhh will write to them! You never know! Should I be honest about the fact we brought the buggy anyway?

Definitely worth writing to them! I'd tell them that you took the buggy as the deposit had been paid and other accessories had be bought, like the sun umberella- but that you wont be shopping with them again.

xxx

I think M&P are very cheeky. Were also getting our pram from there the Sola, its costing over £600 with all the added bits and nothing is inculded unless bought sepratly and they still have the cheek to charge for delivery yeah its only £10 but it pisses me off a bit. We could go pick it up but it would cost that much in petrol to drive to the nearest one. It just bugs me a little sorry for going off the topic sort of I've also spent over £400 in recent months with nothing offered to me for being a good customer... they dont need your custom at the end of the day as they make £1000's a day and people wont stop shopping there so thats why nothing is offered xxx

Oh do they? Thanks for the tip, I'll email them first. Cheers hun xx

I'm not shockily tight... obviously but its just annoying they have the cheek to charge when your spending so much x

Great news that u've got the buggy hun. Get what u mean about the footmuff not being included, they're a nightmare at making u buy everything seperately - it's the same with my Sola. If you were told that it was gona be included you should definitelky complain and you will more than likely get it for free! If not, i have seen them on ebay so, like you say, it myt be worth a look there.

Gutted for you about the flat swap chick, u must be so disappointed. Everything does happen for a reason tho and there's prob something better gona come up instead, fingers crossed :hugs:

Sorry the stupid woman changed her mind. Hope something turns up soon.

I'm not suprised chick, i know how excited you were about it. What a cow, dropping out like that!

I think no matter how successful a shop they should still value there customers because its word of mouth you could put say 4 of your friends of buying from them and they could loose a lot of money so its in there best interests to at least offer an apology... my first car cost £400 and it came with a friggin engine so you would think a footmuff would be included for the prices they charge!!
Definitely email or write about how you feel let down and how you where told everything extra was paid for and then how they tryed to not even give you the raincover or footmuff but it was too late not buy it by this point because you had paid the deposit- im pretty sure they can't sell you one deal and then change it to another last minute!! xx

What a shame about the flat - I was so sure it was going to work out for you! Really sorry, you must be very disappointed. But who knows, maybe something even better will come up next month and you'll be happy that this one has fallen through? Stanger things have happened...
