Balancing breast milk supply: hi ladies, my 14wo is exclusively breastfed. I have been building a frozen stash for when I go back to work later in the year. Lately I've noticed that this is causing oversupply and overactive letdown, as bubs chokes and splutters at the beginning of the feed. I have to hand express a bit before he can drink comfortably. If I stop pumping for a few days, things balance out and I produce just what he needs. So my question is how can I pump some to store without creating oversupply? I was pumping after his first morning feed, till my breasts felt empty or no more was coming (100-120 ml). Should I pump every other day instead of every day? For less amount? Thanks for any ideas.
