I've been having really bad pains, quite sharp ones in my pelvis when I walk (sort of where I expect the baby's head to be). It feels like I have a bowling ball between the bones and its grinding against them every time I try to walk. I can't put my shoes or socks on cos its excrutiating and its been getting worse every day. Walking is so painful that I have to sort of 'shuffle' taking baby steps as I go!

I'm just wondering if this is because baby is 3/5 engaged and its just because the head is there? My first never engaged so I have no idea what it should feel like. I did ask the GP the other day but he said its normal and its just ligaments etc. Has anyone else had this?

I have this too- If I lift my legs up to put a sock on or something I get a sharp shooting pain up my bits

I'm hoping it just means baby has her head down and is poised for action...

I have this too and I'm also 3/5 engaged. I walked to a friend's house yesterday - it took me 25 minutes as opposed to the normal 10

I have this too, at my last appointment nearly 2 weeks ago he was 1/5 engaged but i reckon he's gone down further now.

I also get pains like all the way up my spine as well, anyone had this? Sometimes i even get them all the way up to my neck.. I've only been getting this since the pelvis pain so am wondering whether they're connected???

yep me too and the neck pains as well - worse at night and really excruciating. - trying to think positively that they are all good signs that LO may be here soon :)

Oh i'm glad you've had it too... they are so painful arent they? Could it be a sign of impending labour then?? Mine feel like a throbbing sensation, hard to describe and i get them in the evenings/night too

I just started with this last week.

I posted on here to find out if anyone else had it and someone said it sounds like SPD?

I did a bit of googling on SPD and it is possible but I don't think I have it that bad tbh. I did read about having trouble putting socks and shoes on and it recommended sitting down on the bed to do it, which I have found is really helpful.

Walking is quite bad for me, especially when I have been sat down and then I get up, im really stiff and it takes a bit for me to get going. The pain never goes away when I walk but does ease. I found sitting on my ball is really helpful and the pain doesn't hurt as much when I start to walk after been on the ball.

I had those pains when baby was engaged. Im patiently waiting them again

yeah

i thought it was spd but turns out it probs was babie's head engaging

really sore, I have a rice heat pack and ball and both do help

x
