So I have been experience very bad period pains on and off the last few nights. They are almost taking my breath away, happens about twice a night for 15 mins. I went to the doctors and they said they are not worried and it is normal as no bleeding and the pain is not constant. Anyone else had this?

Where is the pain located? I have to disagree with the doctor... a pain that is taking your breath away is not normal...

period pains or a different kind of pain?

i had cramping all the way through tri one and still get it now its a different pain to period pains tho.

advice is warm bath and a couple of paracetamol to see if that eases the pain for you.

no blood = good news

They are like period pains, I only came off the pill 3 months. I always suffered with bad period pains when I was younger but haven't had them like this since I have been off the pill. The doctor felt around and said if it was ectopic it would be on one side. She also said if it was a constant pain or with bleeding she would be concerned.

i came off my pill 3 months before i fell pregnant too. i got aches like period pains just not as intense for me.

ive got my fingers crossed for you

is it your first baby? the pains are more intense with your first baby so im told x

Yes first baby and fell first month, I am 26 so hoping all good as live quite a healthy lifestyle but you can never know with these things!

ive just turned 26, and my midwife says just take paracetamol, your uterus is stretching and pulling and your body is changing be prepared for the cramps and the pain. depending where my baby is sat i get pains.

just take a couple of paracetamol and a warm bath to try and ease the pains. and try not to worry i know its easier said than done hun x

They have stopped now :) still got pregnancy symptoms so feeling good so far!
