Hi all wondered if anyone knows where I stand due to go back to work next thursday but received a call today from my manager to say my job is not available anymore as they have a fulltimer doing it now and that suits the companys needs so I either do a different job at my branch and get less salary or transfer to another branch which is away from my childcare which I have just arranged dont know what to do need to speak to the union tomoro.

Oh no, how awful for you! Nice of your employer to let you know now at this short notice!

I do believe that they have to give you your old hours and salary but not necessarily your old job!

Thats awful! I thought they had to keep your job open to you?
