BP is alright, urine sample clear, baby still cephalic.

But the big question was if he was engaged...

at first she thought it was 4/5th engaged but then she prodded and poked for a heart beat then checked again and it was completely free. :wall: FFS shes popping the bloody head out!

So we had a discussion and I basically said unless they could do anything I didnt want to see a consultant. She asked about my mums births (3 planned c-sections based on her shoe size  ) so I convinced her that my mothers births were irrelevant, and she never even had a trial of labour so we never really know if she couldve given birth naturally.

She rang her supervisor to check and her supervisor said on the phone that it was fine as long as my bump is not measuring over dates. Im measuring 37 weeks so thats fine.

So Im a free woman!! :yay: Ive got an appointment monday next week to check BP etc... and then shes booked me into antenatal at the hospital for 40+8 to discuss induction with the specialist midwives if I havent popped by then. I made her promise that that appointment wasnt actually to induce, but I was happy to go and discuss it if I havent had the baby by then.

The discussion will go something along the lines of...give me a sweep. Dont put any drugs into me. Stop meddling!

Hehehe! :yay: Glad you're a free woman! Was just gonna post and ask how you'd gotten on!

I don't see what the big fuss is really - some babies just don't engage until labour. What do MW's know eh? ;)

Sending you some engaging dust to help LO to get wriggling south!! :dust:

just noticed that the appointment she gave me for 40+8 is actually when Ill be 40+1 :wall:

I think its good that its 40+1 though. Then you'll get your sweep and they certainly wont induce you that early so hopefully gives LO time to get their act together and pop its little head back in :D Hope everything stays alright for you! x

^^ thats a good point, i might just play dumb and go along to the appointment next week. Its not like Ive got anything else on!!!

Glad you had a productive appointment :)

i think you will have a tuesday baby! (dont know what tuesday tho) :D

nothin' :clock:

Having lots of BHs the past few weeks and theyre getting really strong but hardly had any last night. Bloomin typical!

I had a run of some period type pain ones followed by all over tightening - things are definitely gearing up. The last few weeks are worse than the first 12 IMO. I have had a total guts full now, I can hardly walk properly and its agony in my hip. I have to go to Cribbs today to get my nursing bras and Rosie is just being a tantruming terrible almost 2 year old :wall: I woke up with a headache too so Im not impressed especially after Rosie woke me up at 2.30am..

Sorry - I feel better now!

awww  The terrible twos? good grief :faint: Id forgotten about them!

 hope your headache is better soon. I need to get some nursing bras too. Im thinking of just ordering some online.

The TT's are doing my head in; Im not sure if its because Im 100% tired and in pain or not but my patience is zero at the moment.

I can never get my sizing right so I always get one of the ladies in M&S to measure me. Im right out of space in my maternity ones now so its time to go up a size I think! :)

im still waiting for my boobs to grow!! :clock:

Im sure tiredness isnt going to help, but when a LOs being a nightmare its enough to test anyones patience!! Can you get someone to take her to the park or something so you can keep your sanity?!

OH is asleep from being on nights, I dont want to ask my MIL as she is having her early on Thurs when I go for my sweep. It will be ok, I will get her something to keep her occupied! :)
