Back from mw check up, Worried and pleased :)

Hiya ladies

Just got back from the midwife today and i dont know whether to laugh or cry or both

Firstly ive lost another 4 and half pound im a big girl so can afford to lose some poundage but another 4 and half pound? I really dont know what im doing but its obviously working as my bp is staying nice and low as my body isnt struggling to cope with any extra weight I think ive lost about a stone so im quite pleased

Secondly ive been feeling really awkward as im getting very big very quickly so she decided to measure me, and low and behold although im only 26 and half weeks i measure 32!!!!! i have to have a growth scan on 5th january when i will be 28 weeks and will prob have to have a GTT as well Im pleased she is doing so well but im scared now

Has anyone else been measured yet and if so how are you all?

Im off for a few days cos of christmas and when i come back i will have to shift my butt over to scary tri 3

Hope all you gorgeous lot are fit and well, im going to miss you alll!!!!

Well done for the weight loss!

Don't worry about the growth scan and the measurements, I had to have one last time cos I was measuring a few weeks ahead of where I should have been and everything was fine. Turned out he was only 6lb 5oz when I had him at 38 weeks!

dont really know anything bout growth scans n wot not, but have a fab christmas i dont want to go to tri 3 either

I was measuring two weeks ahead and the consultant booked me in for a growth scan, this showed baby measuring 3-4 weeks ahead so I was sent for a GTT. Rang today for the results and they are negative. A week after the growth scan (the day I went for the GTT) I was measured as I had missed my standard antenatal appointment the previous day and my bump was exactly the same size as it had been 2 weeks previously. Try not to worry as its probably like mine - baby is fine, just had a growth spurt sooner than expected. Ive got another scan on NYE to confirm that the baby is fine.

Try not to worry about the growth scan and the GTT, im sure all will turn out to be fine, she just sounds like a big, bouncy healthy bubba! Better than being too small for dates eh?

When I got measured I was showing 25 weeks which was perfect even tho everyone seems to think that im massive!

I am coming up 25 weeks now and i am huge! I haven't even been measured once yet and i don 't see the midwife until 31 weeks! To be honest i think my anti-natal care has been rubbish, and i don't really like my named midwife much either.

I had much better care last time although my midwife was a bit arsy with me because got upset one day about my partners drug addiction at the time! after that she really seemed to look down at me.

My hubby actually thinks that my dates are wrong because i am so big...thank god he still tells me i am beautiful, cause i feel like a freak!

Aw, relax about the growth scan hon,it's all so inexact!

I had one about 30 weeks case of measuring big. they told me he'd be 'at least 10lbs'. He was a week overdue, and weighed 7lb 2oz I'm convinced they don't know what they're on about.
